Tasting Note
The 2021 Santenay Vieilles Vignes, incorporating the domaine’s single-vineyard cuvées in this vintage, opens with a well-defined bouquet of brambly red fruits, wild hedgerow notes and subtle hints of sous-bois. Medium-bodied on the palate, it shows crunchy tannins alongside touches of black pepper and tobacco, leading into an attractively spicy finish. While it may not be the most complex expression, it more than compensates with character, charm, and a distinctive sense of place.
